Tips for Hip Pain

Your hips are important ball and socket joints that together help support the weight of your lower body and allows your movement and motion. Experiencing pain from your hips can slow you down and cause discomfort during normal activities like sitting at work or going for a walk. When to see a doctor:

  • Your hip pain has lasted more than 1 week
  • Your hip feels stiff or you have significant decreased mobility
  • You experience pain when you use your hip but not when you are resting
  • You have a fever, swelling, or redness with hip pain
