Rochester – Two leading orthopedic surgeons, Nicholas B. Frisch, M.D., and Robert A. Keller, M.D., have joined the orthopedic care team at Ascension Crittenton Hospital. Both Dr. Frisch and Dr. Keller are a board-certified orthopedic surgeons, bringing years of high quality and innovative treatment experience to Ascension Crittenton Hospital.
Nicholas B. Frisch, M.D.
Dr. Frisch earned his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Medford, Massachusetts. Dr. Frisch areas of specialty includes minimally invasive and partial joint replacement, total hip and knee replacement, complex and revision hip and knee replacement and outpatient joint replacement. He utilizes efficient pain management pathways, which allow for rapid recovery and a faster return to normal activity. Dr. Frisch completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital and he received his fellowship training in adult reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Clinical research is an important part of Dr. Frisch’s practice and as a Health Policy Fellow for the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, he is actively engaged in advocacy for his patients and the orthopedic community.
Robert A. Keller, M.D.
Dr. Keller earned his medical degree from Michigan State University. He is dedicated to providing minimally-invasive, state-of the-art surgical techniques for his patients to get them back to their activity or sport. Dr. Keller’s areas of expertise include arthroscopic shoulder surgery (rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilization/labrum repair), arthroscopic knee surgery and ligament reconstruction, shoulder replacement, elbow arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, hip arthroscopy and treating traumatic injuries and fractures. He completed his fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. During his fellowship, he was an assistant team physician to numerous professional and college teams including the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings and the USC football team.
