Freedom From Smoking Program

The American Lung Association's Freedom from Smoking Program has been designed for people who want help to quit smoking. No need to quit before beginning the program.  The group is facilitated by a trained instructor and includes resource materials from the American Lung Association ($25 value).  Come alone or ask a friend to quit with you.  This session runs for 8 weeks on Monday evenings. Features a step-by-step plan for quitting smoking. Each of the 8 sessions is designed to help smokers gain control over their behavior. Participants work on the process and problems of quitting both individually and as part of a group. The Freedom From Smoking® program has helped hundreds of thousands of people quit smoking – and it can help you, too! Your insurance company may reimburse you for the cost of this program after completion.

MELT Workshop

In MELT class we will use a soft MELT roller and MELT balls to help you get out of and stay out of pain, slow the signs of aging, and improve performance in other physical activities you do. In MELT we work with the connective tissue system – a system diet and exercise don’t address. Through positive compression and tension techniques, you will rehydrate your connective tissue and rebalance your nervous system resulting in improved alignment, muscle timing, and balance while reducing inflammation, joint compression and pain. If you feel stiff in the morning, have neck, back, or shoulder pain, trouble sleeping, or feel great and want to stay that way, this class is for you.  MELT is the missing link to wellness! MELT equipment is available to purchase from instructor at discounted price at class; cash or check accepted. Shaina Thurmon RN is a certified MELT instructor trained directly under Sue Hitzmann the creator of the MELT Method. In addition, please bring water to class. All participants should be able to get on and off the floor and the roller with little difficulty. If your situation prevents you from this, please consider booking a private session so modifications can be made to meet your needs. Visit www.meltmethod.com to learn more about the MELT Method. If you have any questions about the MELT Method or the series, feel free to email Shaina directly at shaina@meltmypain.com
