Community engagement means an opportunity to meet and connect with those we serve. That is why we support and participate with community events as often as possible. Our community members play an important role in defining us, so we return the favor. Below are the events that Crittenton is sponsoring for this year. In celebration of Heart Month, Crittenton is teaming up with the Village of Rochester Hills to educate the community on continued heart wellness. Stop by the Village gazebo in festival park on February 23, from 11a.m. to 2p.m. Crittenton specialists will be present to answer any questions you may have about heart heath and provide free blood pressure screening, BMI (Body Mass Index) testing and assist with your personal risk assessment for heart disease. Plan to stop in and visit with the Crittenton professionals to learn more about heart disease and keeping you and your family safe.
Crittenton is hosting a Mom 2 Mom sale of gently used baby and children’s items.

All children are welcome to dress up in their favorite princess or pirate costume for the party. Radio Disney will be playing games, giving away prizes and entertaining families with the famous “Disney” flair. At 11:00am the Easter Bunny will arrive, thanks to the Rochester Hills Fire Department and be available for the well-known photo op with the bunny in the Festival Park gazebo…and as always, visits are FREE. Parents-don’t forget your camera. Then plan to head to Whole Foods Market any time between 11:30am and 2pm for an all-natural Easter Egg dying workshop. Snacks will be provided.

The 9th Annual Community Business Expo is Thursday, May 9 from 4pm-8pm at Lake Orion High School Field House. Join businesses of all varieties as they share information about their services, sell their merchandise, distribute free samples and introduce unique offerings to consumers that span every demographic. Also at the Expo will be the Lake Orion “Pizza War.” Vote for the best pizza in Lake Orion.
Crittenton Hospital has been named the presenting sponsor of the annual Stony Creek “Back to the Beach” half marathon, 10K & 5K. “Back to the Beach,” which takes place at Stony Creek Metro Park, is in its third year with an anticipated record field of participants.
Girls on the Run of Greater Detroit, an affiliate program of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. This after school program focuses on building self-esteem and improving emotional health for girls in grades 3rd-8th. during this 10 week program, girls are empowered with greater self-awareness, a sense of achievement and a foundation in team building to lead the girls to becoming strong, confident young women. Along the way, the girls train to run a 5K together. Currently, Girls on the Run of Greater Detroit is serving over 1,200 girls in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County. The Spring 5K will be held on Sunday May 19th at Oakland University. There are over 2,o00 runners registered for the event including girls, coaches, and family participants. The race starts and finishes at Lake Orion High School (495 E. Scripps Rd. Lake Orion, MI 48360) There is ample parking on site and use of locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
There are 3 races for all ages; Kids fun run (age 0-14), 5K, and 10K. The race in managed by the Lake Orion Rotary Club.
Join the Crittenton Foundation as they celebrate philanthropy at the 34th Annual Golf, Tennis & Fun Run on June 17, 2013! This day-long event will be held at Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester and is open to individuals, families and businesses alike. Activities include: morning and afternoon golf, tennis, cocktail reception, dinner and evening program. Proceeds will support Crittenton’s Tower Project.
The Brooksie Way Half Marathon is one of Oakland County’s premier quality of life events. County Executive L. Brooks Patterson began the Brooksie Way races to promote Oakland County and encourage people to become more physically active.
Join the Crittenton Foundation as we kick off the holidays with our 37th Annual Gourmet Gala on November 3, 2013!This year’s event will be held at the Royal Park Hotel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Champagne Preview for Event Sponsors beginning at 4:00 p.m. Forty of Metro Detroit’s finest restaurants, vintners and liquor shops will offer samples of their specialties. Other highlights will include a raffle for a wine-themed trip for two, gift basket raffle and live entertainment. Proceeds will support the Crittenton’s Tower Project.
