“We have a dedicated group of board-certified radiologists who provide a number of important breast imaging services, including digital mammography, to allow for early detection of breast cancer for patients,” says Sara DelVecchio, RT(R) (M), (CT) Radiology Manager at Crittenton. “Our staff members form valuable relationships with the patients, so it’s like coming to visit an old friend. Some of our technologists have been providing these services at Crittenton for as long as 40 years.”
After the Test
If a patient is diagnosed with breast cancer, Crittenton also has a nurse navigator on staff to lead patients step by step through the process of treatment, so they always have someone to depend on for guidance, questions, and a source of comfort.
“Crittenton is dedicated to ensuring these lifesaving services are available for patients throughout Rochester and the surrounding communities,” DelVecchio says. “Patients never have to travel outside of the community for the breast imaging services they need.”
