Since it is a hospital-based program, we also have physicians on standby in the event that emergency care is needed.” The goal of Crittenton’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is to enhance patients’ quality of life by helping them:
- Improve heart function
- Increase energy levels
- Lower risk of future hospitalization
- Reach and maintain healthy cholesterol levels
- Reduce time missed from work due to heart disease
- Understand and reduce their risk Patients in need of rehabilitation must have an order from a physician to participate in the program.
Each patient also is educated about controlling risk factors, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and coping with the emotional implications of heart disease.

Crittenton Hospital Medical Center has invested in a state-of-the-art cardiac rehabilitation facility to provide patients with an aesthetically appealing environment in which to continue their journey to healing. Inaddition, cardiac exercise sessions are offered six times daily—as early as 6:30 a.m. and as late as 5 p.m.—ensuring patients have options to accommodate their busy schedules.
