INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups unsweetened applesauce
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup Hodgson Mill Insta-Bake or reduced-fat Bisquick mix
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup skim milk
- 2 cups fat-free vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt

DIRECTIONS
Place applesauce, water, and cinnamon in a medium, nonstick saucepan over medium heat. In a medium bowl, combine Insta-Bake or Bisquick mix, sugar, and milk until just moistened. When applesauce begins boiling, remove it from heat. Drop eight evenly distributed spoonfuls of the Insta-Bake or Bisquick mixture onto the applesauce to create dumplings. Cover and return to heat, simmering for 12 minutes. Serve warm with 1/3 cup of applesauce mixture and 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt per dumpling.
