Blood Cancer Support Group
Crittenton Hospital and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are collaborating to bring FREE social and emotional support to anyone in the community who is touched by a blood cancer diagnosis. It is on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 7-8pm at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center. Walk-ins are Welcome! Crittenton Hospital Medical Center is located at 1101 W. Mothers & More: Caring for Mothers
Mothers and More is a nonprofit membership organization that cares for the caregiver. It provides a network of local chapters for mothers who are altering their participation in the paid workplace during their active parenting years. Parkinson’s Disease Support Group
Meets monthly for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families and friends to learn more about Parkinson’s and its management. Free: first Wednesday of each month, 7-9 pm.
Look Good…Feel Better provides information and cosmetic advice to the woman battling cancer. This training includes hands-on instruction on makeup, skin care, and suggestions for using wigs, turbans, and scarves. It also includes tips on nail care while undergoing treatment. Cosmetics are provided for your personal makeover. This program is free of charge and facilitated by cosmetologists – all certified professionals.
Resolve Support Group
A non profit supportive organization for people experiencing infertility. This group provides advocacy, support, and education for infertile people and helps them build a support system, form friendships, and gather information and knowledge. Free; meets first Friday of each mother, 7-10 pm.
Manic Depression Support Group
For those with bi polar disorder and depression. Free; first & third Wednesdays of the month, 7-9pm.
LEARN Support Group
For our LEARN to Win graduates! This group is dedicated to those needing support and resources for successful weight loss/management and is led by a registered dietitian. FREE. Registration is required.
Overeaters Anonymous
Meets every Sunday @ 7pm. This is a Twelve Step Support Group in which any unhealthy relationship with food can be dealt with. Anyone struggling with anorexia, bulimia, or overweight issues is welcome.
Diabetes Support Group
Attend this free monthly program for people with diabetes and their family members. Currrent topics related to diabetes and its management are discussed. Call 248-652-5660.
