CPR/ACLS/PALS Programs

Crittenton Hospital Medical Center is a Training Center for American Heart Association CPR and ACLS programs for the community. We offer a wide variety of classes including Family and Friends CPR, Heartsaver/AED CPR, Heartsaver First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Instructor programs. We are also available to provide training for your business or community organization.

Class Cancellation Policy:
If you cannot attend a class/program you have registered for, please let us know as soon as possible so that someone else may attend as space is limited for each class/program. No refunds can be given if cancellation is less than five days prior to the class. In the case of inclement weather, please call the main switchboard at 248-652-5000 for the latest update. Crittenton Hospital Medical Center reserves the right to cancel/reschedule a class/program due to low enrollment.

CLASSES:
CPR FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
The CPR for Friends and Family Program teaches how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants and how to help an adult, child or infant who is choking. It is designed primarily for those persons who want to learn CPR that is not needed for employment. Cost is $29.

HEARTSAVER CPR & AED

This course is designed for worksite lay responders who need to be certified in CPR and is intended for those who have a duty to respond to cardiac emergency because of a job responsibility or regulatory requirement. Upon successful completion, an American Heart Association completion card is provided. Cost is $69.

 

CPR FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS: INITIAL OR RENEWAL

This course is designed for medical professionals, physicians, nurses, nursing students, EMS personnel, and dental and allied health professionals who are in need of a credentialed CPR class. Upon successful completion, an American Heart Association completion card is provided. The initial training cost is $69, and the renewal training fee is $59.

 

BLS SKILLS EVALUATION

This service allows students who have completed the online portion of the Basic Life Support (BLS) class to be evaluated on their practical skills competency. Upon successful completion of the program, an American Heart Association CPR card is provided. Cost is $49. Scheduled monthly.

 

HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC FIRST AID & CPR

This course teaches how to manage illness and injury in children through adolescents until professional help arrives. This course meets state requirements for daycare workers, teachers, coaches, personal trainers, and other related fields. Upon successful completion, an American Heart Association completion card is provided. Cost is $89.

 

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID & CPR

This course teaches how to manage illness and injury in adults until professional help arrives. This course meets state requirements for daycare workers, teachers, coaches, personal trainers, and other related fields. Upon successful completion, an American Heart Association completion card is provided. Cost is $89.


ACLS PROVIDER

This class is designed for participants who have never taken an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) class before or whose certifications have expired. The class meets the criteria as set forth by the American Heart Association for treating adults in cardiac arrest and other life-threatening cardiac events. Certification is good for two years. A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card is a prerequisite of the program. Upon completion of class, you MUST show current BLS card in order to receive your ACLS card.  No copies accepted. Cost is $229. Offered bi-monthly.

 

ACLS RENEWAL CLASS

This class is designed for participants who are currently certified in ACLS and need to renew. The class meets the criteria as set forth by the American Heart Association for treating adults in cardiac arrest and other life-threatening cardiac events. Certification is good for two years. A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card is a prerequisite of the program. Upon completion of class, you MUST show current BLS & ACLS card in order to receive your renewal card.  No copies accepted. Cost is $179. Offered bi-monthly.

 

ACLS SKILLS EVALUATION
This service allows students who have completed the American Heart Association online portion of the ACLS class to be evaluated on their practical skills competency. Upon successful completion of the program, an American Heart Association CPR card is provided. A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card is a prerequisite of the program. Upon completion of class, you MUST show current BLS card in order to receive your ACLS card.  No copies accepted. Cost is $99. Scheduled bi-monthly.

 

PALS PROVIDER

The class meets the criteria set forth by the American Heart Association for treating children in cardiac arrest and other life-threatening conditions. Certification is good for two years. A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card is a prerequisite of the program. Cost is $239. Offered quarterly.

 

PALS REFRESHER PROGRAM

This class is designed for participants who are currently certified in PALS and need to renew. The class meets the criteria set forth by the American Heart Association for treating children in cardiac arrest and other life-threatening conditions. Certification is good for two years. A current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card is a prerequisite of the program. Cost is $199. Offered quarterly.
