After a long winter, we are all ready for warm weather. Get yourself and your family ready for spring with our quick tips below.
Here’s How to Get Ready for Spring
- Protect yourself from the sun. This means avoiding direct sunlight during the peak hours of 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Grab a hat or visor to protect the more sensitive skin on your face. And don’t forget to apply sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
- Build an exercise base. Beautiful weather gets us outside exercising more, but adjust your body to your exercise programs gradually. Going from minimal exercise during the winter to an immediate, strenuous regimen in the summer can lead to Orthopaedics-related injuries. Are you already experiencing some pain? Try these tips to avoid joint pain.
- Try to let go of the tension. Being cooped up all winter can cause most of us to get a little tense. But being tense can exasperated the aches and pains you may feel on a daily basis. Try walks in the fresh air after dinner, a yoga class on the weekend, or Tai Chi. Crittenton has classes available.
